Jennifer + Michael
Barnsley Gardens Resort
1.7.2012

Jennifer + Michael married on the beautiful grounds of Barnsley Gardens in the Northwest Georgia mountains.  A recent addition to Conde Nast’s Gold List, the property lives up to all it’s hype.  I couldn’t have picked a more beautiful property myself.  While we managed to have some beautiful warm temperatures for a Saturday in January, we dodged thunderstorm after thunderstorm pretty much all day.  Fortunately though, there was a nice window of time free of any rain, right when Jennifer and Michael were scheduled to marry.  Isn’t it funny how fate works.  All that stress and worry, and voila- a beautiful outdoor ceremony after all! 🙂

We had a wonderful day, and it was an absolute joy for me as a photographer to be able to meet these two wonderful families (and their friends).  They were a pleasure to be around!

Thank you again Jennifer + Michael for including me on your special, special day…

I don’t know what it was about this room… the colors… the glass beaded chandelier… or maybe the fact that we only discovered this room until the last hour of our stay!  Once we found it, we were beyond excited… you can clearly see I had my share of fun with the images below…

So beautiful!  If you’re ever a bride at Barnsley Gardens, make sure you ask for access to the bedroom on the top floor of the red house, where these gorgeous pictures were taken.

Note: There’s also a SUPER cool bathroom in the upstairs apartment… check out the dress draping over the claw foot tub.  Dreamy!

I spent the day with the girls as they were getting ready… what a blast we all had.  Thanks again ladies for such an awesome afternoon with you all!

One last questioning from Missy… “Are you sure…..”
Meanwhile, the groom waits anxiously at the ruins…
It’s go time!
Off to the ruins… (and praying the rain stays at bay…)
The processional begins…
The mother of the bride escorted by her son…
I so love this photo of Missy, as she prepares to walk down the aisle for her best friend’s wedding…
